About Amy

Amy combines general practice with a particular interest in women’s health and hair. At Basuto, she sees patients for GP consultations and can discuss investigations, prescriptions and specialist referrals where appropriate.

Qualifications and registration

Qualifications: MBBS FRCGP BSc PGCert.

Training and experience

She qualified in medicine with honours at St George’s, University of London, in 2014. She completed GP training through the Kingston training scheme and is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Her Postgraduate Certificate in Hair Science and Trichology was awarded with distinction by the University of South Wales in 2025.

Amy is an affiliate member of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery. At Basuto, she provides GP care for adults and children, with interests in women’s hormonal health and hair loss.

Clinical interests

Women’s health

Amy’s interests include menopause, perimenopause and polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS), previously known as PCOS. Read about women’s health appointments at Basuto.

Hair and scalp health

Her postgraduate study in hair science supports her interest in the medical and hormonal factors associated with hair loss. During a Basuto GP appointment, she can discuss symptoms, assess possible causes and advise on appropriate investigations or next steps.
